Working principle and function of adsorption desiccant dryer

Adsorption dryer is a common drying equipment, whose main working principle is to use adsorbent to adsorb moisture in the air, so as to achieve the purpose of drying. Adsorption dryers are widely used in industrial fields, such as chemical industry, electronic manufacturing, food processing and other industries. This article will introduce the working principle and function of adsorption dryer in detail.

I. Working Principle

Adsorption dryers usually consist of two towers, one of which is used to adsorb moisture from the air and the other is used to regenerate the adsorbent. When the wet air passes through the adsorption tower, the adsorbent will adsorb the moisture in it. When the adsorbent is saturated, it needs to be regenerated. The regeneration process is done by flowing hot air through the adsorbent and evaporating the moisture adsorbed in it, thus using the adsorbent for drying again.

Specifically, the adsorption dryer works in the following process:

Adsorption tower adsorbs moisture: The wet air enters the adsorption tower and the adsorbent adsorbs the moisture in it.

Regeneration tower regenerates the adsorbent: when the adsorbent in the adsorption tower is saturated, the air flow switches to the regeneration tower. The hot air in the regeneration tower flows over the adsorbent and evaporates the water in it, thus regenerating the adsorbent.

Switching tower: When the adsorbent in the regeneration tower is saturated again, the tower needs to be switched and the wet air flows into another drying tower for drying.

II. Role

Adsorption dryer is mainly used to remove the moisture in the air so as to achieve the purpose of drying. In many industrial fields, the moisture in the air can affect the quality and productivity of products. The use of adsorption dryer can effectively remove the moisture in the air, so as to ensure the quality and productivity of the products.

In the chemical industry, for example, chemical reactions often require precise temperature and humidity conditions, and moisture in the air can affect the speed of the reaction and the quality of the product. By using adsorption dryers, moisture can be removed from the air, ensuring the quality and efficiency of the reaction.

In addition, adsorption dryers can be used for air purification. Moisture in the air not only affects the quality and productivity of products, but also the life of mechanical equipment. For example, in the electronics manufacturing industry, moisture can cause corrosion and damage to electronic components. The use of adsorption dryers can remove moisture from the air and protect the life of mechanical equipment and electronic components.
